Latest Work in the Studio

Continuing to spend time in the studio creating new work. The studio has been a much needed respite from the outside noise of the election, Covid-19, work etc.

As this new body of work takes shape, I’ll write more about it … for now, I can say it’s exploring the misdirection of Manifest Destiny and its legacy of genocide, inherited and perpetuated trauma, inherited and perpetuated violence, and the resistance and redirection to healing – informed in part by my family’s settler/colonizer roots in Utah, Idaho, the Dakotas and Montana beginning in the 1800’s, and before that our colonial history on stolen land that is now recognized as the United States, beginning in the mid-1600’s.
