Trajectories ...
It’s been over three weeks since I launched this new site. So much has happened since … in addition to the trajectory of COVID-19, Christopher and I lost our beloved cat Penelope, which has been heartbreaking especially during this period of uncertainty and rising numbers of COVID cases and deaths throughout the world. While challenging for us, as two people who have immune-compromised diseases, our hearts ache for those who are experiencing or who have succumbed to the illness and for their loved ones, as well as for the many, many folks who are unhoused and face a much harder struggle at this time.
I feel such anger and hate towards the Trump administration as many people throughout the world do, yet at the moment my ability to take any sort of direct or indirect action has been thrown by the deep sense of devastation I’m feeling and the impact I foresee as the disease progresses and beyond.
For now, we’re doing what we can to stay plugged into our communities and to help those in need as much as we can, while having to be sheltered.
I’m also looking forward to some time for writing and creating new work.
